Rochester, NH – On June 19th, HRCU awarded 8 local high school graduates with college scholarships. The recipients are graduates of six local schools.
HRCU began their annual scholarship program in 1996 and has now awarded a total of 209 scholarships amounting to almost $200,000 to local students.
“We know students and families often need all the help they can get when it comes to paying for a college education and for over 20 years we have been pleased to be able to offer the assistance of the scholarships” said HRCU President & CEO, Brian Hughes. “We feel that this is a great group of students who are all well-deserving.”
Scholarship recipients this year included: Audrey Cannon, a graduate of Dover High School who will be attending the University of New Hampshire (UNH); Nathan Learnard, a graduate of Spaulding High School (SHS) attending Great Bay Community College then the Wentworth Institute of Technology; Zachariah Martin, a graduate of Portsmouth Christian Academy attending Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; Natalie Noble, an SHS graduate attending the University of New Haven; Cara Parker, a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School attending Bryant University; Zackary Pine, a graduate of Coe-Brown Northwood Academy attending UNH; Jessica Viel, a graduate of Nute High School (NHS) attending Plymouth State University; and Raymond Zabkar, an NHS graduate who will be attending UNH.
